Anne de Laat

Anne took her Master’s in Law and Technology and her Master’s in Law at Tilburg University, including a six-month course of study in the beautiful city of Madrid. Her passion and ambition lie in (re)solving complex legal issues in the field of intellectual property, including trademark law, design law and copyright law. She is also involved in privacy and IT cases and in the evaluation and drafting of commercial contracts.

Qualities

She likes to investigate legal cases down to the last detail and consequently does her work very thoroughly. Anne gets enthusiastic about turning complicated legal material into a narrative that is both clear and comprehensible to the client, so that the latter understands exactly what is going on and why certain choices are (or have to) be made. In other words: clear and transparent communication!

Other activities

In addition to her work at BRIGHT, Anne is vice-chair of the young lawyers’ association Jonge Balie Zeeland-West-Brabant and a board member of the Stichting Lawcity foundation.

Leisure time

Thanks to her time spent studying in Spain, Anne has really fallen in love with the Spanish lifestyle, and in her leisure time keeps her knowledge of Spanish language and culture up to scratch. In addition, she can often be found on the hockey pitch. She also enjoys travelling and hopes to see a great deal more of the world.
